Darke County Fair
Daddy took us to the Darke County Fair again this year - mostly so he could play games and ride rides with Terri. :o)
Robbie entertained himself with his trains while we waited on Daddy and Terri to ride the bumper cars. (And I got nervous with all the people crowding in around us.)
Bumper cars: Terri pushing the gas, Daddy driving.
She popped 2 balloons on the first try and won a tiger.
2nd try - she didn't pop any balloons, but did stick one in the hanging moons (see above her head).
After about 10 tries and Daddy demonstrating what to do, she did ring the bell and won a pink inflatable dolphin.
As we were walking to the Rabbit barn, we ran into Deanna and Aunt Brenda. Then we headed into the barn, where Terri thought we were going to buy her a rabbit. Ummm, no dear. (I got yelled at for taking pictures in this barn, so we left.)
Somewhere after this, we finally did run into Seth. {Mostly because he found us.} We couldn't find the right tent for the Park District.
SNAKE ATTACK! Robbie was yelling for Daddy to help Sissy.
Another dart game, where she won a penguin when she hit both times. Sadly, she would not share this prize with Amy.
The wiffle ball toss where Mommy won a mini-giraffe, that Robbie snuggled with for about 2 seconds and then threw on the ground.
The "Happy" swing.
And then we went to find our Giant Shaved Ice and headed for the exit. Our feet hurt!

Miami County Fair
We were only able to make it to the fair 1 night, for about 3 hours.
Robbie wasn't scared of any of the animals, and actually wanted to pet each and every one of them. He even tried to pet the turkeys. ha!
Grandma's favorite animal - the jersey cow.
We watched the 5 hot air balloons take off over our heads.
Then we watched some of the bands in the Grandstand. Miami East had Robbie clapping. But Newton - had him dancing in circles.
They rocked it out with solos from several of their kids. Nice job, Newton!

Grandpa's Helper
Robbie is the type of kid that likes to figure out how things work and do them himself. So, a lot of the time, it's "monkey see, monkey do" around the house. He watches Grandpa very closely. Below is evidence of this, as he washed Harley on Sunday.
He couldn't figure out why the hose wouldn't reach any further. (PS: Sorry Mom, didn't mean to cut off your head.)
"Whatcha' doin'?"
"You scrub, I'll rinse."
2 seconds after this picture was taken, he sprayed himself in the face and then proceeded to look at Grandma and I, like we're the ones that did it.
"I'll get that for you!"
Grandpa must have missed a spot.
"This bucket needs more water."

These two.... {Right now}
These two make me smile. These two make me laugh out loud. (They also make me very, very tired!)
{Right now....}
{Right now....}
- They love to play with each other, yet will fight over the same toys
- Robbie will pull her hair to get what he wants and then, when she screams, say "Sworry!" and give her big hugs
- Terri loves to give him hugs and kisses and say, "Come here, Bubba!" but if he's not in the mood he'll run away from her
- She runs after him saying, "Come on, let me give you a hug!" Round and round and round the kitchen/living room.
- If one is sitting next to Mommy, Daddy, Grandma or Grandpa, they other has to also. Usually sitting on the lap of above person to get more attention.
- They both love to dance!
- They can destroy a cleaned living room in 5 seconds flat!
- She is growing taller and taller (look at those long legs) and he is still a very picky eater.

Ouch!
He pushes the swing, and just stands there. It inevitably BONKS! him in the head.
What does he do?
He does it again.
And this time, he leans his head forward, lets the swing hit his head, and says, "Ouch!!!"

Annual Peele Family 4th
The hottest day possible. That's what it was. 103 degrees with a heat index of 110+. The pool and sprinklers kept the kids cool. The adults were in front of a fan with mist bottles.
As quickly as we got there and got into swimming suits, Terri and Robbie were in the pool.
The vest was not tight enough, and didn't keep Robbie from going under, so I had to make a run to Menard's to buy floaties. Robbie was not a big fan of them at first and wanted them taken off his arms. But they did help keep his head above the water.
Starting to prune, so Daddy took him out of the pool.
Drying off for 2 seconds before shedding the towel and running back towards the pool.
Need a few Charlie's Angels replacements? I know where to find 2.
Some sort of weird Peele boy challenge to see who could stay under the cold sprinkler water the longest. Who won? I can't remember.
Dad showing off his new bike with rides for Susan, Peggy and Anna. Peggy only screamed a little when he took off down the road.
Mr Derrick focused intently on something other than Aunt Kris.
Robbie hanging out with Zak and Allen to watch fireworks. (or for at least 10 seconds while he sat still)
And the annual Grant Peele fireworks display. The Hex shot at the end was really neat, but I didn't get pictures because Robbie was sleeping on my shoulder through it all by that time.
As always, thank you to Don, Kellie and family for allowing us all to invade your house and yard for the day.

Desiree and Quentin took on Grandma in a water fight. I do know who won.

The Duck Pond
Before the 100 degree heat wave ushered its way into our lives, we headed to Family Fun Night at the church park. Nashville UCC holds these once a month during the summer months, and tonight's theme was the duck pond.
A great distraction to the slide - a tub full of water and ducks. (See how Grant's soaked?)
Aunt Kellie helping with crafts.
Duck hat. (This pose came after I told her to stand normal.....my little fashionista.)
Hi Deanna! Quack!
Robbie saying, "QUACK!" with Deanna's hat on his head. He only wore this for about 2 seconds, and then took it off and tried to take off her stickers.
The playground kept him very occupied while the older kids did story time and games.
The pinata. Terri's turn.
Deanna's turn.
Sam's turn.
Poor duck - he didn't make it.
Cousins are always your first friends and remain that way for your entire life. These two make me smile. (Terri has a whistle in her mouth.)
First, we hit the slip and slide. Robbie thought he owned it and could stand right in the middle. Grant got soaked trying to keep him from being a bowling pin to the older kids. The girls just tip-toed through the water, choosing not to be adventurous and slide down.

Overall, a fun night out with the 4 of us. Perfect temperatures for outside fun. And spending time with cousins and family is always a good time.
