2012 Staycation - Goodbye Tipp City house

On Friday, we went to our old house in Tipp City, to walk through one last time before the closing at 4pm.  I'm not sure if Terri will remember this house much when she gets older, but she was sad to leave her purple bedroom behind permanently.  Robbie will not remember, but he liked climbing the stairs and hearing his echoed screams throughout the house.

Grant and I lived there 10 years.  It doesn't seem that long.  We bought both of our kids home from the hospital to this house.  They slept in the same crib.  They shared a room.  The house definitely has sentimental value, but it was time to let it go.

Things I'll miss: The playground at the school across the street.  Being within walking distance to DQ.  The downtown activities (car shows, festivals, parades, etc) of a small town.

Things I won't miss: SMALL yard with no privacy. The neighbor's barking dog.  Parking on the street (resulting in ice scraping, snow shoveling, and leaf removing).

Goodbye Tipp City, Goodbye house.

The freshly painted porch looked nice (but crooked).

See, climbing the stairs.  Always doing the most dangerous thing possible, that's my boy.

Terri in her room.  She was sad, until I reminded her that she has her own room now, no longer having to share with Robbie.

The magnolia (?) tree - I'll miss your springtime blooms.  Terri finally figured out how to open the gate and let her little brother "escape."
